So I started researching how I could make that happen. I looked into ways of printing directly onto blank nails, tested different finishes, and played with designing until the colours, detail, and shine matched what I’d expect from salon-quality sets.
Just a few of my test runs working to achieve that boutique quality I was looking for.
Designing, Testing, Perfecting
I found a printer, bought it, and lugged it into my little studio with the help of my partner. That was just the start. I had no idea how long it would take to get it right.
I began experimenting in Photoshop — pulling inspiration from the seasons, my favourite colours, and holidays that deserved something special. Then came the hard part: figuring out how to actually print those designs onto nails.
It took me months of trial and error and hundreds of tests to get the colours brilliant, the varnish glossy, and the finish as durable as a salon set. There were nights where nothing came out right… but slowly, piece by piece, I got there.
That’s when I knew I could finally offer something different: nails that are custom, boutique, and consistent — without the wait or the guesswork.
The Process - How I Bring Each Set to Life
✨ Design
Every set starts as an idea on my screen. I use Photoshop to experiment with colours, textures, and themes — sometimes it’s seasonal inspiration, other times it’s drawn from things I love personally: art, fashion, or even small details like the shimmer of a fabric.
My goal is that each set feels like a little piece of wearable art, not just another nail design. I don’t want my customers to feel like they’re picking something generic — I want it to feel like they’re picking something that tells a story.

When your order comes in, that’s when the nails actually come to life. I load a tray of blank nails into my UV printer and let the design transfer, layer by layer (16 to be exact!). This was the hardest part to master — it took me months of trial and hundreds of tests to get the colours vibrant, the lines sharp, and the varnish smooth.
Now, I get the same boutique consistency every time, but the excitement hasn’t worn off: even after all this testing, I still feel a little thrill watching a fresh set print.
🌈 Finish & Pack
Printing isn’t the end. Each nail is sealed with a glossy, salon-style top layer that makes the colours pop and protects the design from chips. This finish is what makes the nails look like they came straight out of a salon set — shiny, durable, and smooth to the touch.
Unlike hand-painted sets that can sometimes chip or fade quickly, this finish means you can wear them confidently and reuse them later.
I personally check each set before it goes out — no skipping steps. Then I pack it into our branded (and recycled) packaging. I wanted the packaging to feel boutique, not like a plain mailer bag, because the unboxing should feel special. Every box includes everything you need: 24 nails in multiple sizes, adhesive tabs, glue, a prep kit, and clear instructions. When your order arrives, it should feel like a complete experience, not just loose nails in a packet.

Because I make everything in Australia, I don’t have to ship orders overseas or wait for stock to come in. That means I can send your nails out within just a few days of your order. To me, this step is just as important as the design — because it closes the loop.
What started as an idea in my studio becomes something you get to unbox and wear. And I love knowing that every single set shipped was made fresh, for one person, not pulled off a warehouse shelf.
